System Idle at 92-98%

Hi~
For some reason, my system idle process is taking most of my cpu usage. I
am having difficulty opening files and folders (takes forever) and my
programs freeze while I am using them...none in particular, just most all of
them....Can someone please help?

Thanks~

Try using Windows Defender, or Ad-Aware to find programs running you don't
need. That kind of behavior is almost surely causes by a virus or other
malware.

Check your system for malware. The system idle process runs when the
computer has no work to do.

Totally incorrect!

System Idle Process should be a high number. It is the % of time that the
computer is doing absolutely NOTHING, waiting for the operator to give it
something to do.
