system icon tray

I got a real problem .. after trying to setup networking
on my winxp, all of my icons in the system icon tray
(next to the clock) disappeared (with the exception of
three). They appear in the Customize Notification screen
as Past Items. How do I move them back to Current Items?
Thanks.
 
but the thing is, when i check the button to dislay an icon in the notification area or system tray, and apply, it doesn't show up...and when I open the box again, it's as if I never checked the box at all!
