system hangs up

My system(running XP) hangs up at the "Windows is
shutting down" screen after I install Norton SystemWorks
2003pro. What could be the cause? PLEASE HELP me or I
will have no hair left to pull.
 
Yea I removed NAV and NPF and it shuts down fine now. So
any suggestions on why Nortons isnt working right with XP?
