System Hang - Xp

Computer "A" hangs after it has gone into screen saver mode for 30 or so
minutes. It will not function on the net. It uses an ethernet connection
and must be rebooted to use the net.

Computer "B" several blocks from "A" will simply hang after 20 or so minutes
of use. Ethernet connection. System must be rebooted.

Both running Xp Home, Sp2.

Suggestions are welcome.

Hi,

On "A", check the manufacturer's web site for an updated nic driver that
properly supports the standby function. Yours currenlty does not.

On "B", does it freeze after 20 minutes if the system is not connected to
the internet?

Thank you. "B" is connected to the net. However, I'll also check the NIC
driver for it too.
