When I double click on a file to open in Windows Explorer (Word, Excel, PDF,
ect) the system hang for 1 to 2 minutes and then the file opens and works
normally. This happen if the file is local or on the network but only
happens when I am connect to the network. All mapped drive are connected and
working. When I am in Word, for example, and I open the file from file/open
it open normally so the problems only happens in Windows Explorer.

Thanks in advance.

We've only gotten started, Richard. So far, not a lot to go on. System hangs /
slow opening disk displays are some of the most intriguing challenges here.

Some diagnostics would really help. Each of the following: "browstat status",
"ipconfig /all", "net config server", and "net config workstation", run from the
problem computers, and from the properly working ones, can be invaluable.

And you say that you've "read everything", implying that you've done everything.
I'll bet that you missed something. If not, you possibly wouldn't be here.

Please go away and leave me alone as I asked politely before! I want some
fresh input because you are so far off on this. Please do not respone to my
next post!!!!!!

It's an open forum, Richard.

My apologies if I've offended you, when you asked for free advice.
