System Hang During Windows XP Loading

I am trying to load an OEM version of XP onto a computer
with a PII @ 333Mz, new motherboard and a new harddrive.

During the "Installing Devices" phase of the XP
installation, the screen will blink out (screen goes black
for about 3 seconds) and comes back on. This happens
three times. When it gets to the "Type In Your Name", the
system will hang after I type the first two letters.

Any suggestions??

Most likely a hardware incompatibility. You are very close to system
minimums:

I would remove all unneeded hardware and try it clean with base hardware.
