System Freezes up

I just recently had to put a new hard drive in my computer, ever since I
installed this new hard drive my system just freezes for no reason. If I
have the sound on I can hear a click and then the system is frozen the only
thing I can do is to hold the on/off button in until it shuts down.
Any help would be appreciated.

Take the name of the hard drive manufacturer off the box it came in or the
receipt.
Visit their web page.
Find their "Diagnostic" tool.
Download it.
Follow the directions and run it.
