System Freeze

Had some problems with a virus & malware, which I think I've fixed. My audio
drivers won't load now & when I try to look at the audio settings on control
panel the system freezes & I get 2 vertical black lines ( about 2 inches
long) down the centre of the screen.This is repeatable. Only solution is to
power off & on

No viruses show on scans & no ad/malware from spybot

Any suggestions on what may be wrong or what can be done to fix are
appreciated.

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight all your sound devices,
Action menu, "Uninstall" each one, (do Not put a check in 'delete driver")
then Action menu, "scan for hardware changes", to find the device drivers
again automatically.
