Recently I asked for help as my window XP freezes . The freezes can best be
described as if the mouse hase been disconnected. I have shut down the power
and start again.
I had a response to my orginal question_ that I might have to up the power
supply, which I did from 350 to 430watts, but unfortunately the problem
persists, A have received a suggestion from a friend that the hard drive
will need to be wiped and started as the system has scrambled itself . (I
have added and deleted a fair few programs and this may be the cause) I have
Mcfee virus and MS anti spyware on as well as windows firewall. I now
run the computor in safe mode and this has stopped the problem. but I lose a
lot of functionlity ,

I have run a diagnostic program and every thing appears in the normal range

Any help, advice or assistance will be appreciated

Regards
Peter

You may have a bad driver. Have you added any new hardware or updated any
drivers lately? If so try uninstalling that item/driver. As for the
"scrambled system" you can download ccleaner from http://ccleaner.com/ and
run the registry repair to clean up any errors or traces of old files.
