Windows XP Pro. I did my usual monthly System File Checker scan and when
scan completed, Error box Windows File Protection came up saying: Files
that are required for Windows to run properly must be copied to the DLL
Cache. Insert your Windows XP Pro CD 2 now.

I do not have a Pro CD as the program came with the computer. I have run a
scan each month but this error has not happened before.

Then I could not close the error box but had to restart computer to get rid
of it. How do I get around this problem?

Click OK, when prompted to insert the CD, browse to the C:\Windows\i386
folder, click OK.
