system failure

HAve recently gone on line and updated xp(sp2),
rebooted pc - but - when pc attempted to reboot it failed to do so, although
machine completes memory check etc. Unable to f8 in - - hellllp (sob).
am available to contact via messenger on alternetive machine so if you
