I turned on my pc today and just the windows xp splash comes up with the
slide bar below going back and forth,it hits a blue screen and then restarts
the same process. I am unable to use any of the advance options after
pressing the f8 button. Every thing I choose fails and does this constant
start, fail reboot etc.. No safe mode, can't use my windows cd(doesn't
recognize it in boot process, nor does my sytems restore disk work or get
recognized. The way I found the error is I had to select"disable automatic
restart on system failure" Here is the exact
code=stop0X00000024,0X00190203,0X8ad12268,0xc0000102,0x00000000.I m on my
other pc now ,I've been told to check my hard drives . I don't know how to
check them. I have 2 samsung sp2504c 250 gb HD's. They are in connected with
a NVIDIA stripe. Please I have no clue on what to do and where to start?
Please help!

Do you have important data files you need to recover or do you already have
a backup? If yes you may be able to access and recover the data on the drive
by placing the drive in an external cradle and connecting to a working
computer.

What appears on the line below the bug code?
stop0X00000024,0X00190203,0X8ad12268,0xc0000102,0x00000000

Actually I find that parameter 1 "0X00190203" is common to many reports,
which is not always so.

Running chkdsk /f / r on the system drive could well fix the problem but you
need to work out a way to put yourself in a position to run the command.

Have you recently installed a Windows XP Service Update? Security software,
notably Norton, has been known to cause this problem if not disabled whilst
updating is in progress.

Does the BIOS recognise the drives before the boot fails?

You can test the hard drive using the manufacturers test utility

What is your computer make and model? How old is it?

What is the computer make and model you are posting from? Is it your
computer?

When you tried to boot from the restore disk had you checked the BIOS to
ensure it was set to boot from a CD before a hard drive?

Background information on Stop Error message
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms793935.aspx

0x00000024: NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM
A problem occurred within NTFS.SYS, the driver file that allows the
system to read and write to NTFS file system drives. There may be a
physical problem with the disk, or an Interrupt Request Packet (IRP) may
be corrupted. Other common causes include heavy hard drive
fragmentation, heavy file I/O, problems with some types of
drive-mirroring software, or some antivirus software. I suggest running
ChkDsk or ScanDisk as a first step; then disable all file system filters
such as virus scanners, firewall software, or backup utilities. Check
the file properties of NTFS.SYS to ensure it matches the current OS or
SP version. Update all disk, tape backup, CD-ROM, or removable device
drivers to the most current versions.
