System Explorers Menu Will Not Display

M

Mike

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing several times
to no avail. I do not know what happened here, but the
System Explorers Menu is now blank. How can I get it
back? Thanks

Are you using any of the Norton Security Products? If so, can you post back
with what one you are running, or send e-mail to (e-mail address removed).

I am running Windows XP Professional with SP2 and Norton
Systemworks 2005. And I actually didn't start having
this problem until I loaded the Norton, but even when I
try uninstalling Norton and Microsoft Antispyware and
then re-installing Microsoft Antispyware, I still have no
System Explorers.

I'm using XP Pro and "had" Norton System works installed
as well. I just checked yesterday and my Explorers are
all back for the first time. I didn't make any changes
since removing the Norton System Works over a month ago.
It's a mistery to me but everything just started working
for the first time!

I do think there's some type of issue with XP Pro because
I haven't seen this problem with XP Home edition on my
other computers. I'm sure MS will resolve the issue at
some point.

1) System Explorers won't appear for me either

Have also come across aditional problems on my install

2) Some of the Agents screens aren't working properly.
The Agent Status screen says they are active, but the
individual agents screens say they aren't
3) Events screen won't load in, just get an hour glass
that never goes away
4) Autoscan schedule didn't set up properly during
install, had picked no autoscan, but summary screen
showed scan scheduled at 2A. Link from summary screen to
the scheduling screen directed me elsewhere. Once I did
get to the proper screen, via the link on the scanning
page, refreshing the schedule corrected the problem.

I'm running XP Home SP2 and do use Norton Systemworks
2005, default installation. I gather from Steve Dodson's
question that my problem lies in some conflict w/ Norton,
other resident programs of note on my machine WinPatrol
and ZA.

I looked in the MS AntiSpyware program files folder and
see it's created an error log, it's almost unreadable
when I tried pasting into this editor so I will e-mail it
to your address Steve trusting you'll forward it to the
proper folks or delete it if it no use to you.

I have winXP pro, and NSW 2005 premier. The
option "System Explorers" dissapears after installing NSW
2005 premier. I have managed before to make it work, but
after a format of my drive, it doesn't work anymore. I'm
searching after what I did to make it work again with
NSW...

Didier.
