System errors/bugchecks in Event Viewer

Hi all, can anyone tell me what these errors mean?

Error code 000000d1, parameter1 00000003, parameter2 00000002, parameter3
00000001, parameter4 7ffdf000.

And this.

Error code 000000d1, parameter1 00000003, parameter2 00000002, parameter3
00000000, parameter4 867cc9d0.

BOTH have previously just rebooted the system, with no warning.

I have no viruses, no spyware. I have Nortons 2003 AV/Firewall installed.
and Trojan Remover. Have scanned for both. Nothing found. This has only
happened say in the last week. Also, these bugcheck errors. What do they
mean??

Is it referring to a driver?? faulty ram??

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000000d1
(0x00000003, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x867cc9d0).

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x1000007f
(0x00000008, 0x80042000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000).

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000000d1
(0x00000003, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x7ffdf000).

And also errors like this?? Does this mean the controller on the mobo is
faulty??

The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk2\D.

Even tho this error comes up the hdd still works. I take it this means D
drive??
If it does mean D, this is a SATA 120gb hdd.

And 1 more. Is this meant to be on started?? If so
how do you start it with no module found?? It's on
manual atm. When I try and start it it says this.

The Application Management service terminated with the following error:
The specified module could not be found.

Hi Paul,

Usually 0xd1 is referring to a driver error, and it's often associated with
the addition of new hardware - did you add anything recently? You mention a
SATA drive, have you updated or reinstalled the cards driver lately?

I added a Leadtek Deluxe TV tuner card a few
mths ago, with the latest versions of the drivers for it.

Since Leadtek said the ones that came on CD with it, weren't compatible with
HT. I think the tuner program.

XP has been going OK with the SATA hdd. Since the SATA isnt in RAID atm,
(Only 1 120 GB hdd, it
can do RAID 0, BUT not RAID 1).

The SATA is built in (on the mobo).

I didn't install the drivers for it, when I installed XP when
I did a clean install. XP found it OK tho, once XP
was installed. And I can see the SATA in My
Computer. I also thought it may have been this HP
Photosmart 145 USB2 printer. So, I downloaded a
later version of the drivers, for this the other day.

The other day strangely enough, I tried to do something
in Publisher 2002, and it kept on crashing and going round in circles.

In the end, I found out thru Mary Sauer in here
that the problem maybe a printer driver. So, I
changed the printer to the Epson printer I have here,
as default printer.

That fixed the prob. Does it sound like the HP drivers
are at fault?? The HP does work. It does print photo
quality photos. If it were the HP drivers, it wouldnt
print, would it?, or say something is wrong wouldn't
it?? It's most probably one of the drivers in msconfig
the printer, the videocard, or the soundcard drivers.

The Nvidia drivers, the soundcard, the printer
and the TV tuner drivers, are the latest versions.

Hi,

The HP driver can still work, but it may be causing conflicts with another
system driver. It may take a while to sort, this may help:
