Tried to restore my laptop to a previous date but it does not allow me.
Previously it was possible

Your subject line refers to a "previous mo" which I presume means
previous month.

System Restore should not be used to go back more than a week or
perhaps 10 days at most. Going back further will most often cause
more problems that it ever resolves.

System Restore is best used for "oops I need to get back to where I
was this morning" or perhaps "last Tuesday, just before I installed
supper crappola version 9".
