System Dialogs Close

Installed WIN XP Pro w/ SP1 on new disk on Dell Dimension
2350. Installed all updates from web using Windows
Update. Installed Office Pro 2003. Installed NAV 2004.
Whenever I tried to run NAV for initial scan, application
would open then before I could get to the "Next" button
the dialog would close. Uninstalled NAV. Trying to
check configuration or system, when I run MSCONFIG the
main dialog opens up then closes after a few seconds.
Same with REGEDIT. Uninstalled Office - still have same
problem.

Any ideas?

please scan your system for viruses. Perform an online Virus scan:
