System Crashes Midway through McAfee VirusScan

How do I overcome this problem. It also occurs while
running Spybot Search and Destroy problem midway. What

Can you run your antivirus program in Safe Mode?

I can run in safe mode and do the scan in DOS. It just
crashes while running in Windows.

I assume your disk is formatted FAT32, then. If you can run in Safe
Mode, then something is interfering with McAfee in regular mode. When
you remove spyware in Safe Mode and then scan, is the machine clean? If
the machine is clean, then you will need to contact McAfee tech support
so they can troubleshoot what is interfering with their product.
