Memory could not be written error,

B

bawdy

I'm midway through a game and have had no problems until yesterday when I
went to launch the game I got the following error...

The instruction 0x09372441 referenced memory at 0x000000000. Memory could
not be written.

Any idea what can be wrong and how it can be resolved?

btw...windows installed updates automatically today, so I suspect that
caused this.

Obviously, your system shouldn't normally be written to at location zero.

Corruption may have crept into your system. Sometimes a judicious
reboot of your system will correct this. If the identical error occurs
again, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling your game application
from known good media.

Is it possible that your game's distributor has on-line updates (fixes)
that need to be installed in your system?

Has your mobo been overclocked?

Is your system *rock stable* otherwise?

If this problem repeats, does an on-line forum exist for your
game/distributor where you can ask this question?

Trouble, like yours, regarding Microsoft updates, is possible but very
remote.

Good luck bawdy.

Is it a repeatable error or did it just pop up that one time? If it
isn't reproducible, it may have been a momentary glitch.

The problem repeats and occurs with several different games. Uninstalling and
reinstalling doesn't help. My system had been working fine. I don't know
anything about overclocking, but I have a very fast processor.

Put 'memory could not be written in xp' in the search box in Google.
Perhaps one of the solutions will work for you.
