Hi,
I was running Win2k Pro SP4 and went to reboot my system.
The boot process appears to hang just after I was prompted
for my logon name and password - right before all of the
icons would normally come up etc.
So, I tried booting into Safe Mode without Networking and
it also hung as Safe Mode was attempting to fully
initialize but hung. After about 10 minutes I received a
message like:
Logon User Interface, msgina.dll failed to load. Contact
your system administrator to replace or restore the
original file.
Is there anyway that I can copy this file from another
working system to floppy and then pull it off of the
floppy somehow during the boot process? Or maybe in Safe
Mode with a Command Line?
I apologize if this is a stupid question - I just don't
know the guts of Windows recovery. If this was an AIX
system - I would be a-ok. lol
Thanks!
