System Administrator

When I try to change my Internet Explorer options through the Tools menu, I
have recently started getting this message:

"This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this
computer. Please contact your system administrator."

I have no problem using Control Panel to change the options. But I prefer
to skin my cat the other way. Can anyone assist me?

Home XP, chief cook and bottle washer. No other users allowed.
 
This question was posted earlier and I missed both it and the answer (which
worked! Thanks Graham).
 
If you go to Control Panel, User Accounts, does it list you as Administrator
or Limited Account? If Limited Account, this is the Problem.
