system 32

Pls help, my pc has crashed i run xp pro and on start up
wont log onto windows because system 32 file is corrupt
or missing.I have tried to boot of disc but cant run in
safe mode or any other, i can format but there is too
much valuable info i dont wanna lose...any suggestions
will be greatley appreciated....
