Your computer is/was compromised by malware - clean it first and then
look at this link/thread:

All links will, with a proper Usenet client, be terminated beyond 76
characters or about that length - Usenet standards limit the line
width.

Most people who post questions to this newsgroup don't use a proper
Usenet client. ;-)

Yea, I blame that on Google Groups and Microsoft.

Fair enough.

Still, this link will work (while the other one is broken) for those
Google Groupers, Microsoft Web interfacers (Janet, the OP, is one),
Eggheaders, and even those who use OE:

As you can tell from my headers, I don't use a proper Usenet client,
either (OE). However, with QuoteFix, it becomes much closer to one. :-)

I've tried other news readers (Xnews, Agent, Thunderbird, Gravity), but
I have yet to find one (for text) that is as comfortable as OE. I guess
I'm an "old dog" in this instance!

I'm surprised that you didn't like Gravity - I use it with 3 panes as
follows:

Left entire colum (groups listed), Top Right, threads grouped by thread,
bottom right, the message once I click on it. This is not the default,
but it follows how Outlook shows messages when you have multiple folders
under the inbox. Oh, and it's all text, no HTML or RTF

Yes you are correct but the OP was using the awful Web interface where copy\paste
becomes a problem

Thanks for the tip, Leythos. At some point, I'll try Gravity again and
try your suggestion.

My view is that almost every newsreader is better is some respect than
the others, and which one is best for you depends on what features are
more important to you. We are all different and have different needs
as well as different likes and dislikes.

For a long time, I also used to prefer Outlook Express (also with
QuoteFix) to Agent, but these days, I greatly prefer Agent. But I can
no longer remember what there was about each of them that I preferred.

So my main point here is that everyone should ignore other people's
recommendations on things like this, and try several. Choose what
*you* like best, rather than make your decision based on what I, or
anyone else, likes best.
