System 32 Folder opens during start up process

I recently removed the AOL buddy icon adware/virus files
from my XP Home computer. Both computers now open a
system 32 window during startup. I must close the window
before startup completes.

I have a similar problem. I recently went to Symantec's
website and followed their step by step instructions to
remove the w32.kwbot.c.worm, but there is one annoying
remant of the virus that Symantec doesn't show how to
remove.

Upon completion of startup, a prompt appears stating "the
file cmd32.exe cannot be found. That's good because
that's part of the virus, but how do I edit the
registry/startup options so Windows won't try to look for
this file (previously in /SYSTEM32 folder.)

Any clue?

Thanks
