System 32 Folder loads on desktop on boot

I got a new workstation recently with XP Pro on it. I've
been installing all of my existing programs on it in
order to get rid of the old one. Somewhere along the way
something got messed up because now when my desktop comes
up after a reboot, the System32 folder is open. How do I
make it stop loading this folder?
