System 32 folder is open after reboot

Hi,

The last couple of weeks after a reboot of WINXP Pro 5.1
Srvice Pack 1 the SYSTEM32 folder is opened up after a
restart and login.

Does anyone know why this could be happening and how to
turn it off?
