Hi all,
I was wondering if someone could help me with a problem re: the c:
\WINDOWS\system32\ folder showing every time I reboot and Windows (XP)
starts. I'm on SP2 and no other problems.
Only thing is I had a virus (can't remember which) a few weeks ago
which Kaspersky couldn't get rid of as it was a persistent bugger, but
I finally managed to do it manually by deleting certain entries from
the registry. I think I edited one too many lines as the system32
folder has appeared on screen after every reboot since.
I've checked Msconfig & the 'run' folder under the registry's local
machine/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/run etc. etc. but
nothing out of place there and all the targets are real files which
work.
I've checked the 'Start -> Start Up' folder also, nothing there. Also,
have done a Spybot S&D and virus scan also.
Does anyone else have any other suggestions please?
Thanks
Leo
