Sysprep process brings up Plug and Play monitor Hardware Wizard

We are having an issue with a golden WinXP SP2 image (drivers for multiple
computers included). If we image a laptop (i.e dell d410 or d610), during
the time it is detecting the devices (believe it's says installing devices),
we get a found new hardware wizard. If you say no not this time to search
the web, it finds a plug and play monitor. Does anybody have a workaround
for this? The behavior isn't exhibited when the image is loaded on a desktop
machine with a crt or lcd monitor

Thanks,

Chris

I've experienced this issue also, but in my case when the found new hardware
wizard popped up if you did nothing it automatically disappeared after about
10 seconds. In any case, we resolved this issue by installing the MS hotfix
found on this site:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;883667

This is one of those "you need to call us to get the hotfix" patches so
hopefully you have a Premier Support (or the like) contract with Microsoft.

Regards,
David
