sysprep overwrites custom account

O

Ole

Heres my situation:

1) I installed winxp sp2 on a machine, sysprep v 1.1. The machine is
Standalone, no domain.
2) I created an account (student) with limited permissions using Shared

Computer Toolkit (removing the Run command from the Start menu, among
other
things)
3) When I run sysprep, create an image and Ghost the image, log on as
student, the student account settings have been altered and Run appears
on
the Start menu. I created a sysprep.inf with setupmgr.exe, that part of
the
process works, it boots up w/out any questions.

I read all the messages about creating an acoount in the admin group
and
moving it to Deafult User, but thats not my case! I need _one_ limited
user account, and _one_ administrator account. In use, these machines
sit in a comp room with students coming and going. They only use IE for
access to an LMS.

Can anybody advise? (I searched this group, but couldnt find an answer,
sorry to bother if Im
missing something obvious)

Thanks in advance,
Ole

It could be that you are experiencing the change in sysprep for SP2. Read
the knowledgebase article KB887816 and possibly apply the patch. It may
help.
