I recieved an alert that the service sysmonlog had stopped. I restarted the
service succesfully but about a second after it goes into a state of
'started' it changes it's state to 'stopped'
This service has not dependencies.
There are no error logs. There is plenty of disk space and operation
capacity available on the machine. The service is set to manual, changing
it's startup type does not affect the issue. If you netstart the service it
comes up ok but by the time you check it's status in the GUI it has stopped.
SP4 is installed, kb841874 is the last hotfix installed. Server is running
SAP and oracle.
Rebooting the server is a last resort.
Any ideas gratefully recieved.
