This file has been diagnosed with the Adclick.G.Trojan
virus. The system will not let me delete this file nor
let Norton quarantine it. What does this exec do and is
it needed. How can I get rid of this file?

Hi Chuck,

This is indeed a trojan. To get rid of it you will need to boot in Safe
mode, anong with a few other preliminary steps. Here is a link to
Symmantec's web page on this along with specific recommendations:

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.a.d.clicker.g.tr
ojan.html

I'll quote this page here, but please read the full text:

The following instructions pertain to all current and recent Symantec
antivirus products, including the Symantec AntiVirus and Norton AntiVirus
product lines.

- Disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP).
- Update the virus definitions.
- Restart the computer in Safe mode or VGA mode.
- Run a full system scan and delete all the files detected as
W32.Adclicker.G.Trojan.
- Delete the value that was added to the registry.

Again, please read the full text on the page referenced above.
