syshost.exe takeing up bandwidth and memory

Since i stopped Syshost.exe accesing the internet and
starting up with system boot I've noticed my system is
working mutch faster and my internet is now free'd up,
but what was it for and why do i need it? that is of
course if its not a virus of any kind.

W32.Francette.Worm is a worm that exploits the DCOM RPC vulnerability
(described in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS03-026) using TCP port 135, as
well as the Microsoft IIS Web Server Folder Traversal vulnerability
(described in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS00-078). The existence of the
file syshost.exe is an indication of a possible infection.
