Sysfader does not close when I shut down my computer

I am using Windows XP SP 2. Every time I shut down my computer using the
"start" button, I get messages that sysfader won't close. I have to hit the
button "end now", several times before sysfader closes. It now takes 10 to 15
minutes for sysfader to actually close and my computer to shut down normally.

Please help.

Thanks in advance,

The sysfader.exe file is connected with Nvidia video cards. Did you
recently update your video card drivers? What changed between the time
things worked and the time they didn't?

Thanks. When I Googled, the first links were about Nvidia. So the bottom
line is this is a file connected with graphics and maybe the OP should
update his video card driver, or even roll them back depending on the
answer to the Magic Question: what changed between the time things
worked and the time they didn't?
