Just an FYI. The AS icon will not stay in the tray to
show it is running in the background. I've uninstalled
and reinstalled twice and when I reboot it is gone. I
still get my scans when scheduled. If I CAD, the tsak
manager shows it is in fact running, just no icon down by
the clock.

I've had mixed reports about my fix for this one:

control panel, add or remove programs, Microsoft Antispyware, change,
update.

And, of course, check the Options, Settings, General to be sure you haven't
unchecked displaying the icon.
