I have downloaded SyncToy version 1.2.0.75.
When I log on an Explorer window opens up showing SyncToy only. Why is this
necesary?
How do I stop it happening?

Download Startup Tracker application from this page:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_starttrack.htm

Launch the program, and click the "View log" button. Post the contents of
the log file here.

Hello Ramesh
Please excuse the long delay , but I have long term health problems which
get in the way.

Hi Chapman,

This entry is probably causing the problem. As you see, it's not properly
formatted.

- - -
gcasServ "C:\Program Files\Microsoft"
AntiSpyware\gcasServ.exe
- - -

This should actually be: (note where the quotes are now)

- - -
gcasServ "C:\Program Files\Microsoft
AntiSpyware\gcasServ.exe"
- - -

You need to open Regedit.exe and navigate to the corresponding registry keys
and fix the Value data for the above entry.

Use the following articles as examples:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/stfolder.htm
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/dellfolder.htm

Backup your registry first.
