SyncToy Rqmt for .NET Framework

I tried to install SyncToy and got a message about needing .NET Framework
1.1.4322. So I went to the web page and figured I was better off installing
the latest which is version 2. Silly me, I did that and the SyncToy install
is still complaining about needing a VERY specific version of .NET Framework.
I've rebooted since the .NET install and that did not help. Now what???
Thanks.

You need 1.1.

Thanks. Now just to be clear are you saying that I need to install the 1.1
package AND then 1.1 service pack 1? All after removing the V2 of .NET
Framework of course.

I'm not saying what you should do...I simply
provided links to the available downloads.

No, you should not have to uninstall Ver: 2.0,
the programs are separate installs.

For the record, I went ahead and uninstalled V2 since I had not needed it
before SyncToy. The installation of the base 1.1 package solved the problem
but I went ahead and put on the service pack just to be current on that
level. All is well. Thanks. And I haven't done more than an "echo" style
backup for a couple folders at this point but so far it is a pretty handy
tool!!!!!!
