SyncToy and long path + filename

I get an exception message when the filename or path is too long. Can this
be extended to support a longer path?

The problem is when I try and syn up folders of c:\users on my vista hard
drive. It tells me that there was an exception on the path of temporary
internet folders. The files in there have pretty long names.

Please increase the length so there would be no exceptions. Thank you. I'm
sure I would hit this problem with other paths within my folder orgnanization
hierarchy.

I had this problem too and just told it to exclude the appdata folders from
the sync.

It was not just the appdata folders, but other files too, which I need to
have and not exclude. It's just a pain having to do it by hand manually,
which would also introduce inconsistencies or problems later on if not done
correctly, everytime to the right path, overwrites, etc.

This problem has been around for years. I got tired of waiting for
a fix and started using rsync for Windows:
