Syncrinization question ?

It seems there is a new icon in my task bar when I am receiving mail in
OL2003? I get a little icon that says "Microsoft Office Outlook is
synchronizing folders"

This is new...and I didn't intentionally set this up...?..can anyone tell me
where this icon is coming from > I do not use exchange server...this is a
desktop at home with a laptop on the same network (router)..but as far as I
know...are running OL2003 independently. I only swap the pst file back and
forth after working on one or the other

I am getting it too. Annoying. Big problem when I email long messages
with photos. Do you use a PDA? I installed my PDA and then started
getting this message.
