How can I synchronize an Excell Spreadsheet stored in two
locations? Would like to synchronize spreadsheets stored
in My Documents with the same spreadsheet inserted in
Outlook Contacts. Help appreciated. Bill

Hi
this is not really supported by Excel. So I would suggest using a
database application with replication mechanismn for this or something
similar.

Thank you for replying. Best regards, Bill

Have you given any thought to having a *single* WB, and simply creating a
shortcut to the Outlook file?

This allows it to be opened from either location, and since it's really a
single document, there's no synchronizing necessary.

This is easily accomplished from Windows Explorer, where you *right* click
and drag to the appropriate folder, and then choose "Create Shortcut" from
the pop-up menu.

I tried inserting a short cut into the Outlook Contact,
but each time the entire file was inserted. I did not
try to drag it. Will check it out some more. Thank
you. Bill

It would work, but Outlook blocks the shortcut .lnk.
Tried to work around it, but could not. Should I
allow .lnk in Outlook? Any suggestions? Bill

Although I've created shortcuts to many different files, I've never linked
anything to Outlook.

I would suggest a trip to the Outlook NGs, where your chances of appropriate
suggestions would be more likely.
