I just bought a laptop and have installed outlook 2003 which is what I use on
my desktop. Is there a way to have the laptop automatically synch with my
desktop without having to copy the .pst files back and forth each time?

Check out the program OSASYNC at http://www.vaita.com/index.asp (also
available via the MS office marketplace.

I use it to syncronize the outlook contacts list between my wife's computer
and my own. It just auto-detects changes and updates whenever we are both on
my wireless router.

The not-free version is adversised to do more.

I've never tried it, but my other guess is that you could use a pocket pc
("palm pilot"). I'm pretty sure you could get it to sync for you if you
messed around with the settings. [computer 1 --> pocket pc --> computer 2
--> pocket pc --> computer 1] (just make sure it's backed up before the
first sync).
