Synchronizing Access 97 db with Access 2003

Good Day,

I have been charged with converting a group Access97 db to an Access 2003db.
But before completely converting over to the Access 2003 db I would like to
ensure that most of the functionality of Access97 is working properly in
Access 2003, formatting, links, tables, etc. Is there a way I can have users
continue placing data into forms in Access97 and the information synchronize
with the data in Access 2003, while I continue to monitor functionality in
Access 2003?

Let me know and thank you for any assistance you can provide

Access 2003 can work seamlessly with Access 97 data. It will also work if
you upgrade the data format to the default suggested Access 2000 format.

As far as forms, etc go. Upsize a copy to 2000 or 2003 format and link it to
either the original 97 format or the newly upgraded format. There are very
few issues.

Good Day Arvin Meyer,

I certainly appreciate the quick response and I thank you for the advice.
I hope you do not mind some additional questioning. I have converted an
Access 97 db to Access 2003 and it works well, with few issues that are
format related. I would like to replicate the Access 97 db to Access 2003,
and in doing so, do you have suggestions as to a good source for step by step
instructions for replication; perhaps an external tool as well.

One other question while I am thinking; I have several user that to often
attempt to enter data into a form at the same time only to have information
missing. Is there a way I can prevent someone from opening the same record
at the same time, with a message stating the record requested is in use?

Let me know

Thanks
