Synchronize pop3 subfolders

Is it possible to synchronize/download subfolders from a
pop3 email account (such as yahoo)? I'd like to have
access to more than just the inbox, but can't seem to
figure out how to get Outlook to download the other
folders.

Thanks!

You can't download from Yahoo because it is not a POP3
account and will not allow retrieval of messages. Only
POP3 will download -

I'm using Yahoo Mail Plus, which allows pop3
synchronization. Currently I'm downloading email in my
Yahoo inbox to Outlook, but I don't know how to access
personal folders I've set up in Yahoo.

I have a Yahoo! Plus account, too, and as far as I can tell, the only option
you have is to include your Bulk Mail folder as part of the download (i.e.,
treat Bulk Mail as though it's part of Inbox), choosing either to mark it
with [Bulk] in the subject or not.

You can, however, have all your mail in all your folders archived in a zip
and downloaded, where you can then unzip locally and drag the messages into
your client. As far as I can tell, this works with Outlook Express, since
the messages in the zip file are all .EML messages.

POP access has no concept of server folders. All POP can do is say to the
server: "give me all the messages that are awaiting download", with the
aditional option of removeing them from the server or leaving them there as
well.

Thanks Brian. I checked around on the web, and found a
program/service on Cnet called Izymail...

It claims to support full folder synchronization...
according to their website, it's a 'protocol translator',
which is designed specifically to work w/ Yahoo, MSN, AOL
& Lycos to synchronize folders. There's a fee
($10.95/yr), but it works just like Yahoo Mail Plus, so
you can cancel that and use this instead.

Still trying to decide if it's too good to be true...
maybe I'll do the free trial to see if it's worth it.
