synchronize and offline files

Hi,

I am using xp Pro and Server 2000. I have mapped "my documents" to a share
on the server, offline files are enabled and the synchronized file on the
server has been "made available offline". I have 2 questions:

Why is "Synchronize when I log off" grayed out in Tools, Folder Options,
Offline files? Does it just always happen automatically? Because even
though it is grayed out and not checked, my files are synchronized as I log
off.

Secondly, once a file on the share, on the server, is checked "Make
available Offline" I can't get back to it to uncheck it because it is grayed
out. In fact I disable Offline files to get it to lose the synchronization
symbol. When I enable it again the symbol comes back. Even if I delete the
file and recreate it, then the synchronization returns to the file without me
doing anything. Once a shared folder on the server has been made available
offline and then synchronized is it possible to return it to a normal not
synchronized file.

Thanks for any help!
