I have Outlook 2000. When I migrated to a new computer a couple of years
ago, I lost the ability to call up services under the Tools menu.

To try to recover, I started to reconfigure mail support and noticed that I
was set
up as a Corporate or work group, which may have been the old configuration
on my last machine. I don't really need that now. I started to reconfigure
as Internet Only, but got this long warning about the terrible things that
might happen if I did it.

One thing I was warned to do was synchronize my files before reconfiguring.
What does that entail
and how important is it?

That is only relevant for when you connect to an Exchange server.

Thanks.
