synchronization problem HELP!

I've been using windows mail (on Vista) for over a year now and have never ha
problems, all of a sudden this morning the synchronization no longer works
neither outgoing or ingoing messages; this is the error code I get

Account: 'pop.att.yahoo.com', Server: 'pop.att.yahoo.com', Protocol: POP3,
Server Response: '-ERR popgate unknown command', Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes,
Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18

help, please?

You only supplied an error message for receiving, so I will address that aspect.

In Windows Mail go to Tools, Accounts, select that mail account, Properties,
Servers. Uncheck the box for "Log on using Secure Password Authentication."

If you have a separate sending problem, please submit that error message.
