Synchronising Hotmail plus with outlook

I am having trouble accessing my hotmail plus account through outlook. I have
set up the account the as directed and *I have got POP accounts working* but
when I click [send/recieve] on my outlook program I get Hotmail folders:
inbox synchronizing headers. Error" on the tasks tab and under the error tab
"Hotmail folders: inbox synchronizing headers.'reported Error *0x80040111* an
unknown error has occoured."
I have retied setting up the account and it still gives the same error
message. I have never had outlook and hotmail synchronizing which was the
sole reason for the account upgrade. At the end of several emails the
hotmail staff passed me on to you.
can you please help me synchronise my account in outlook.

have you logged in online to make sure you don't need to validate the
account? do you have a second computer you can test it with? Did you try
accessing it with OE?

What brand of computer? There is apparently a problem with the configuration
of some Acer models and this is one symptom. Acer has a fix for it.
