Synchronisation of contacts between Outlook and Nokia mobile phone

Jan Verkade

I use Nokia software to synchronise my contacts between the Outlook contacts
and the address book of my mobile phone. Outlook stores phone numbers in the
following way: +31(0)612345678, which the software stores in my mobile phone
as +310612345678. The 0 from the area code should not be there, and the
result is that I cannot dial the numbers from my address book without having
to manually omit the 0.

Does anybody have a solution for that?

Please note that storing in a different manner is not an option, as I use
Outlook to automatically dial phone number and I need both international
access codes and area codes for that. Also manually removing all zeroes is
not an attractive solution, as I have a few hundred phone numbers stored...

Thanks,
Jan

I have the same problem and I don't believe it can be solved using Nokia's
(rather poor) software. Oxygen's Phone Manager II has a regular expression
parser in it which will allow you to match and replace bits of the phone
number on import.

You can get a trial version from http://www.opm-2.com/. This is crippled but
might work well enough to test this feature.

As it happens I can't get either OPM II or Nokia's software to work on my
Tablet PC and my Nokia 6230 but that's a different cry for help!
