Sync?

Steve

For some reason Sync starts up every time I connect my USB flash drive now.
It never used to.

It wants to delete the files so it can sync the drive with media player.

I have no use for Sync and, at this point, really would be happier if it was
gone, but Vista has no options in any logical place (going to Sync in the
control panel seemed an obvious place to me) to set this program up, shut it
off or remove it if the customer would like to do so.

Anyway, now that I am done ranting, any help would be great.

Thank you.

Hope this helps

That just lets me choose what program I want to use to open particular files
on the device.

Windows Media Player is trying to "Sync" my flash drives every time I plug
them in now.

In the box that pops up I have 2 options the first is: No, leave the
existing files on the device and Sync to the remaining space (you can delete
files later)

The second is: Yes, delete all digital media files from the device before
sync

Neither of these I want to do. I want option 3 which would be: Have Media
Player/Sync and any other Micromanage Microsoft program ask me a question
once and continue to apply it forever until I go to a logical location and
tell it to do otherwise.

Just seems simple and really makes lots of sense. hehe

Thank you for the help

Have you gone into the Devices tab in Media Players Options? Check the
properties there for the flash drive if it appears when plugged in.

Not sure why, but it stopped. I did nothing to start it and nothing to stop
it.

Thank you for your help Dave.
