Sync Start Menu(s)

Hi. Is there a way to synchronize my start menu with the All Users
start menu? I'm the only person using this computer and when I
want to move or clean up my star menu I need to look in both
start menus 'cause I have no idea where items in the start menu
were stored.

I hope the Vista will be different.

The Start Menu that you see is a combination of both of these folders:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu
or %allusersprofile%\Start Menu
and
C:\Documents and Settings\YourNameHere\Start Menu
or %userprofile%\Start Menu

Right click the Start button and select Explore All Users opens
%allusersprofile%\Start Menu.

Right click Start button and select Explore opens %userprofile%\Start Menu

Move everything from one to the other if you like.

That's what I do : I allways move all new entries to my desktop ( drag-drop)
then send them to my user-start-menu ( using small software named Anyfolder,
which remembers a list of my destinations, since I organize my start menu by
categories : OCr-Scanner / OpenOffice / Photos / Tools etc ....)

That way is fast and easy. That way nothing remains in "all users"

I get now. I was trying to use Explorer to drill down to the
star menus. I see now, All Users has every item I have in my
Star Menu plus a couple extra items.

Thanks much
James
