Sync Outlook 2003 to Exchange Server using Outlook Web Access

Has anyone found a way (plug-in or new feature) that would allow
your laptop to talk to your Exchange Server using Outlook Web Access
as a gateway.

I would like to take my laptop on a plane, type a a ton of e-mails and
respond to my inbox while in flight.

Then upon arrival or thoughout my trip, connect at a wi-fi hotspot
and Outlook would navigate to my Exchange OWA Server, log-in and
sync my outlook send and recieve without me having to see or use the web
interface.

OWA is great but I can't always work online
I don't want to run a POP and SMTP Server
I would like to have Calendar, etc. sync since
it is already available through OWA

Stranded,
Send me a private email and I will share with you the settings we have
worked out to connect to our exchange email accounts using Outlook from off
campus (using RPC over HTTP). There will be some settings you will need to
check with your local admin to see if this is an available option for you
