symbol print

I recently upgraded to win xp.
I have word 2000 installed.
In print preview the symbols look ok, however they do not
print correctly.

Printer problem?
Word problem?
XP problem?

Thanks for any help.
 
Try setting the PRINTER to download the font instead of
using font substitution.
